Exness Setup — What Is Fixed and What Is Reversible · Philippines
Two lines on the Exness sign-up form stay with the account for as long as it exists: its type and its base currency. Nearly everything else can be revisited later from the Personal Area — the platform, the device, the security method, swap-free status, even whether the account is a practice one. This page sorts the set-up into choices that stick and choices that do not.
Open Exness Account →Two answers on the Exness sign-up form stay with the account for as long as it exists: the account type (Standard, Standard Cent, Pro, Raw Spread or Zero) and the base currency it is funded in. Nearly everything else is reversible — the platform (MT4, MT5, the Exness Terminal or the Exness Trade app), the device, two-factor authentication, swap-free status on qualifying accounts, and practice versus live. One login holds up to 200 accounts, so a different set-up is usually a new account rather than a change to an old one.
Minimum deposit applicable; may vary based on payment method or geographic location.
Which choices the account keeps, and which it does not
- One login holds every account opened under it — up to 100 MT4 and 100 MT5 accounts, 200 in total
- The account type and the base currency are answered on the sign-up form and then belong to that account
- A different set-up does not need an edit: another account is opened alongside the first
- The platform is never a commitment — MT4, MT5, the Exness Terminal in a browser and the Exness Trade app all reach the same account
- Swap-free (Islamic) status is set at account opening or later in the Personal Area on qualifying account types
- Practice and live sit side by side; switching to live is available at any time from the Personal Area
- Two-factor authentication is added, removed or moved to another method, and the trading-platform password is reset separately from the Personal Area one
The one line on the form that stays with the account
| Account | Platform | Spread from | Commission | Suited to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | MT4 / MT5 / Terminal | from 0.3 pips | $0 | The default answer on the form — nothing about the tier has to be settled in advance |
| Standard Cent | MT4 / MT5 | from 0.3 pips | $0 | Cent-sized lots are a property of the account itself, not a switch inside the terminal |
| Pro | MT4 / MT5 / Terminal | from 0.1 pips | $0 | Instant execution comes with the tier, so it is chosen at opening rather than toggled later |
| Raw Spread | MT4 / MT5 / Terminal | from 0.0 pips | up to $3.50 / side / lot | A cost model picked once: a tighter spread carried by a per-side commission |
| Zero | MT4 / MT5 / Terminal | 0.0 pips on majors | from $0.20 / side | Also a cost-model answer; moving to it means a second account under the same login |
Where each decision is actually made
MetaTrader 5
Installed, moved or removed without changing anything about the account behind it.
Trading App
Hops between the accounts already open under one login, including practice ones.
Gold Trading
XAU/USD is an instrument on the chart, not a line fixed on the sign-up form.
Demo Account
Practice mode is a property of the account; live can be started whenever.
Islamic Account
Swap-free is set at opening or added later on qualifying account types.
Account Types
The tier is picked once and then belongs to that account for good.
Also: the order the steps come in, what a single login covers, the costs that follow the tier, what can be swapped on the chart any day and gold as a worked example.
Exness setup — the short version
Exness has been running since 2008, and its sign-up form is short partly because most of it can be revisited. Two answers cannot be: the account type and the base currency, which belong to the account they were opened under. Everything after that — platform, device, two-factor method, swap-free status, practice or live — is changed from the Personal Area, and a genuinely different set-up is simply another account under the same login. Independent Exness reviews on Trustpilot are worth reading before the two irreversible answers, not after. CFDs carry a high risk of losing money — confirm the latest terms before depositing.
Open Exness Account →The two answers the account keeps
The base currency is settled on the sign-up form, from the list Exness shows there, and every figure on that account is read in it afterwards. Money arriving in a different currency is converted on the way in, which is why the currency line is worth a moment of thought and the platform line is not.
The tier is the second answer of that kind. It decides how the cost of a trade is put together — spread only, or a tighter spread plus a commission per side — and it sits in the account record rather than in the terminal, so no menu inside MT4 or MT5 reaches it.
Neither answer is a trap, because neither is exclusive. One login covers up to 100 MT4 and 100 MT5 accounts, 200 in total, and the Exness Trade app moves between them. Trading a second currency or a second cost model means opening a second account, not undoing the first.
What moves whenever you feel like moving it
The platform is the loudest-looking choice and the least binding one. MetaTrader 4, MetaTrader 5, the browser Terminal and the mobile app all open the same account, positions stay in step across desktop, web and mobile, and removing a terminal from a machine leaves the account exactly where it was.
Security settings are equally loose. The Personal Area password and the MT4 or MT5 trading password are two different passwords with two separate resets, and two-factor authentication is switched on, off or moved to another method under Settings, which is what saves an account when the phone holding the codes is lost.
Practice is a mode rather than a phase. A demo starts with $10,000 in virtual funds, the balance is reset from Set Balance at any time, up to 100 MT4 and 100 MT5 demo accounts can exist at once, and going live is a step taken from the Personal Area rather than a door that closes behind you.
The answers that are not yours to give
Some of the form answers itself. Eligibility depends on legal age and on living in a country where registration is available; the list of base currencies is the list Exness offers on the day; and verification is approved on the broker's side, usually within about 24 hours of a government-issued photo ID and a proof of address being submitted.
The market keeps its own share. Spread width at a given second, the pace of execution and the slippage around news are conditions, not settings, and no answer given at signup fixes them. Delays and slippage may occur, and nothing on the account record changes that.
The useful line to draw is between what is asked once, what is asked repeatedly, and what is never asked. Only the first group deserves hesitation; the second is trial and error at no cost; the third is simply the frame the account lives in.
The order the answers are asked in
- Register with an email address and a phone number. Nothing about the trading set-up is fixed at this point.
- Verify identity with a government-issued photo ID and a proof of residential address — approval usually lands within about 24 hours.
- Answer the account-type line. This is the first of the two answers that stays.
- Answer the base-currency line. This is the second, and the one that quietly shapes every number displayed afterwards.
- Pick a platform — MT4, MT5, the Exness Terminal or the Exness Trade app. Reversible, and more than one can run against the same account.
- Set swap-free status if it applies, either at this point or later from the Personal Area on a qualifying account type.
- Open a practice account alongside if the set-up wants testing; the switch to live is available from the Personal Area at any time.
Steps three and four are the only ones on this list that a later visit to the Personal Area cannot rewrite.
Fixed at opening, or changed afterwards
| Choice | When it is answered | Changing it afterwards |
|---|---|---|
| Account type | On the sign-up form | By opening another account under the same login |
| Base currency | On the sign-up form | By opening another account in a different currency |
| Identity check | Once, before trading live | Handled at profile level in the Personal Area |
| Platform | Any time | MT4, MT5, Terminal or the app, on the same account |
| Swap-free status | At opening or later | In the Personal Area, on qualifying account types |
| Two-factor method | Any time | Switched to another method if the device is lost |
| Practice or live | Any time | Switch to live from the Personal Area |
| Virtual demo balance | Any time | Set Balance in the Personal Area or the app |
One login covers up to 100 MT4 and 100 MT5 accounts, 200 in total.
Which surface holds which control
| Surface | What is decided there |
|---|---|
| Sign-up form | Account type, base currency, the first platform to install |
| Personal Area | Passwords, two-factor method, swap-free status, extra accounts, demo balance |
| Trading terminal | Charts, timeframes, order types, which instruments sit on screen |
| Neither side | Eligibility, the currency list on offer, spread width and execution in the moment |
MetaTrader 5 carries 21 timeframes against nine on MetaTrader 4, so part of the screen set-up follows the platform rather than the account.

Reviews
What traders say about Exness:
Exness. They're terrible, thieves! I swear, it dropped 300 points in a minute! Another broker didn't let it drop like that. This drop was just to make me lose money. They're thieves and scammers!
Fast service. Love your services very fast
Reliable. Exness has been one of the reliable trading platforms
Bank card not being accepted. The reason I can’t deposit money is because when I put in my card holder name it says it’s not correct, even though I put it exactly how it is on the card, multiple times
